I read this book several weeks ago and I've been trying to decide how to write this review. The main character is a middle-aged male who seems to possibly be having a mental breakdown. He's an avid hunter or was until his car hit a deer and he had to shoot the deer to put it out of its misery. After this incident he continuously is having flashbacks to the killing of the deer. It's not clear to me whether he hit the little girl in this story with his car; nevertheless, he helps the girl and bandages her wounds. The way those scenes were handled was kind of creepy so I wondered if he was a pedophile; but, he's not. He's also in a gay relationship but she changes so much after the accident with the deer that he chases his companion away. The story seemed well written but I never could understand it well enough to decide whether I liked it or hated it. I will say that this story has been on my mind for three weeks and maybe the purpose of the story is to force one to think what the author means.Product details

What's not to like about this thriller? Thank you to the author for generously providing this work at no charge for readers.
