This is a collection of musings, memoirs, and poetry written over a period of a few years that began as heartbreak and then slowly developed into an artistic calling of pieces written almost entirely during the time of full moon phase. I don't fully understand why this is so, but that seems to be the magic time of artistic reception where I release and allow myself to switch into a more focused, present world, something that can be difficult with survivors of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. It is within these moments that I write about what I feel, see and hear in the world when I am able to press 'stop' and be still. Within that stillness comes motion, but at a speed and attentive accuracy which allows the full moon spirits to congregate in my head, if only briefly, and create.

In February, 2013, I attended a poetry reading by Helen Souranoff in which she shared some of what she had written in her "Musings of a Full Moon." After I returned home, I was moved to write the following
To Helen Souranoff
With open heart
I hear your musings
I see you enter a larger consciousness
A deeper understanding of life
I celebrate your blossoming!
You will never be the same.
I honor your beauty and seeing
Your courage and your loving
I'm so happy for you and for Saira
I celebrate your life unfolding!
